Tromboxanes

Term

Formed in thrombocytes, when they enter the blood, they constrict blood vessels, promote platelet aggregation. When the amount of thromboxanes increases, lymphocyte proliferation is also stimulated, and bronchial spasms are induced. If the level of thromboxanes exceeds the physiological norm, thrombosis, insufficient coronary blood flow, and acute myocardial infarction are possible.
