This food group includes: protein-derived substances (amino acids, polypeptides), fat-derived substances (omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, γ-linolenic acid, phospholipids, phytosterols), carbohydrate-derived substances (dietary fibers, prebiotics, polysaccharides-adjuvants), as well as vitamins, vitaminoids, trace elements, probiotics, digestive enzymes, parapharmaceutical substances (glycosides, alkaloids, indoles, allyls, phytoestrogens, saponins, terpenes). Such substances are found in food per 1000. Their food products contain milligrams and micrograms. Micronutrients perform important functions in the regulation of metabolism.
