EDTA

EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) is used as a compound stabilizing enzymes. In reactions, EDTA can bind unwanted impurities (salts of heavy metals: copper, lead, mercury, etc.) that inhibit enzymatic reactions.
