Poisoning with anabolic steroids

Abuse of androgenic anabolic steroids – the use of medications containing testosterone to improve physical fitness, increase muscle size, and mass. Anabolic steroids are used for these purposes by exceeding the usual therapeutic dose by 10-100 times. Sometimes athletes use these steroids in a certain schedule to avoid detection during competitions. Usually, when using these preparations, other medications are also needed to hide the undesirable effect. When treating steroid poisoning, complications caused by them are treated first. The most dangerous complication is sudden death. Suspicion of anabolic steroid use should be raised by a large amount of dietary supplements used by the athlete, rapid weight gain, for example, more than 25 kg in 3-6 months.
