Medicine to treat the disease
Mixed connective tissue disease is a health condition where symptoms of systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, myositis, and rheumatoid arthritis manifest due to high concentrations of autoantibodies against U1 ribonucleoprotein. Cytotoxic immunosuppressive therapy treats the symptoms. Mixed connective tissue disease most commonly affects women aged 20-40 years.
