Spasm

Involuntary contraction of striated or smooth muscles lasting for a prolonged period (cramp or spasm). Spasms are usually accompanied by pain. Spasmophilia is a children’s disease that starts due to a disturbance in mineral metabolism, characterized by increased excitability of the nervous system and seizures.
