Schizophrenia

Psychosis type characterized by disturbances in perception and content of thinking as well as thought process (hallucinations and delusions), the patient perceives oneself as disconnected from the environment, ignores the needs and interests of others, emphasizing only the importance of their own mental activity. Schizophrenia is characterized by auditory hallucinations, paranoia, and incoherent speech. The disease disrupts all the patient’s family and community relationships, leading to social problems such as homelessness, long-term unemployment, etc. The causes of schizophrenia are unknown.
