Polycythemia
Illness caused by bone marrow hyperplasia. It is characterized by erythrocytosis, leukocytosis, thrombocytosis, increased levels of circulating blood and hemoglobin in it. A group of pathological conditions where there is an increased number of red blood cells per unit volume of blood (independent of the number of leukocytes and platelets). A group of neoplastic diseases where myeloid cells of erythrocytic origin uncontrollably increase – myeloproliferative disease. The causes are quite varied. Incurable, but controllable.
