Nikturia

Frequent urination at night, which may be due to nocturnal polyuria (increased urine production at night), decreased nighttime bladder capacity, or a combination of both. Normally, more urine is excreted during the day than at night (ratio from 4:1 to 3:1). In certain pathologies (at the onset of heart decompensation, in cases of cystitis), more urine is excreted at night than during the day.
