Microcephaly

Term

This is microcephaly, abnormally small skull and brain, while some other body parts are of normal size. Inherited in a recessive manner. Sometimes occurs due to pathological fetal development, toxoplasmosis in pregnancy, viral diseases. Often accompanied by congenital mental retardation.
