Obesity Classifications

  • I⁰ Obesity: 25.1 – 29.99 kg/m²
  • II⁰ Obesity: 30.0 – 39.99 kg/m²
  • III⁰ Obesity: 40 kg/m² – 99.99 kg/m²
  • IV⁰ Obesity: ≥ 100 kg/m²

Classification and Body Mass Index (BMI)

  • Underweight: <18.5
  • Normal weight: 18.5 – 25
  • Overweight: 25.1 – 30
  • Obesity: 30.1 – 40
  • Morbid obesity: >40

Broca formula:

  • For men: Ideal Weight = Height (cm) – 100
  • For women: Ideal Weight = Height (cm) – 100 – 10%
