Anuria

Total urinary retention is called anuria, decreased daily diuresis – oliguria, increased daily diuresis – polyuria. Anuresis – urine retention in the bladder. Enuresis – involuntary urine excretion, usually at night. If the causes of pathologies are eliminated, the function returns completely within 24-48 hours. The causes of anuria are impaired kidney function. Endocrine causes – primary hyperparathyroidism, impaired stomach and intestinal function (nausea, vomiting), acute kidney failure. Painful anuria – surgeries, liver, kidney injuries. Anuria can occur in the presence of complete urinary tract obstruction, their rupture. Sepsis, shock, hypoxia, hypovolemia, mental trauma, etc. can be the cause of anuria. Most often there are pararenal causes, which account for up to 60% of the causes of anuria.
