Aging

Term

This is an irreversible process. During it, the living body (organoid, cell, tissue, organ, organ system – the whole organism) changes its structure, functional capabilities, and properties due to wear and tear. The final stage of aging is death. The aging process is individual physiological and biological changes of our body and its parts. It directly depends on the environment, nutrition, lifestyle, and attitude towards life. There are several types:

1) pathological aging – accelerates due to a certain pathology;

2) premature aging – occurs in quite young people;

3) radiation aging – influenced by ionizing radiation;

4) physiological aging – occurs according to the genetic program of the individual.
