Tophi in the elbow area
Symptoms
Related diseases
Tophi in the elbow area appear as firm, whitish nodules under the skin due to accumulating urate crystals surrounded by an inflammatory response. These nodules commonly develop in individuals with long-standing or poorly managed gout where elevated uric acid levels persist over time. They are often visible and palpable, and can interfere with joint movement and cause discomfort, especially if they grow large or experience pressure.
