Emaciation – a condition of the body characterized by wasting and severe physical weakness. Such a patient experiences a significant decrease in body mass, disappearance of adipose tissue, atrophy of skeletal muscles, internal organs, skin becomes dry and wrinkled, nails break, teeth become loose and fall out, hair falls out, sexual function weakens or disappears completely, in women – menstruation.
