Disappearing waist
Symptoms
Related diseases
Disappearing waist may occur with osteoporosis. As the disease progresses, changes in the vertebrae cause a loss of height and alterations in body shape, making the waist appear less defined. Vertebral compression fractures and subsequent postural changes contribute to this symptom.
