  • Hemorrhoids: Swollen and inflamed veins in the rectum or anus.
  • Anal abscess: A collection of pus caused by infection in the tissue around the anus.
  • Anal fissures: Small tears in the lining of the anus that can cause swelling.
  • Perianal hematoma: A localized collection of blood under the skin around the anus.
  • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD): Conditions like Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis.
  • Infections: Bacterial, viral, or fungal infections that affect the anal area.
