Painless blindness
Painless blindness refers to the sudden loss of vision without any accompanying pain. This condition can result from various causes, including retinal vein occlusion, optic nerve damage, or certain types of strokes. The vision loss can be partial or complete and typically happens abruptly. Painless blindness requires immediate medical evaluation to determine the underlying cause and initiate appropriate treatment. Prompt intervention is crucial for the best chance of preserving or restoring vision.
