Mental disorders manifest through a variety of symptoms, impacting both emotional and physical well-being. In anxiety disorders, individuals experience excessive worrying, restlessness, and physical symptoms like muscle tension. Depression is characterized by persistent sadness, loss of interest in activities, and changes in appetite and sleep patterns. Bipolar disorder involves severe mood swings between mania, marked by impulsive behavior, and depression.

Schizophrenia presents with hallucinations, delusions, and disorganized thinking. Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) includes intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors (compulsions). Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) leads to flashbacks, avoidance of trauma reminders, and heightened alertness. Eating disorders, such as anorexia and bulimia, involve unhealthy relationships with food and body image. Substance use disorders are marked by compulsive use, withdrawal symptoms, and increased tolerance. Recognizing these signs is essential for seeking timely and effective mental health support.
