Intellect disorder
Intellect disorder, also known as intellectual disability, involves significant limitations in both intellectual functioning and adaptive behavior. Intellectual functioning refers to general mental capacity, including learning, reasoning, problem-solving, and planning. Adaptive behavior encompasses a range of practical, social, and conceptual skills necessary for everyday life.
Intellect disorders can result from various factors, including genetic conditions, prenatal and perinatal problems, environmental influences, and infections. Early diagnosis and appropriate interventions can significantly enhance the quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
