Facial numbness refers to a loss of sensation or a tingling feeling in the face. Common causes include:

  • Nerve damage: Such as from trigeminal neuralgia.
  • Infections: Like shingles or Lyme disease.
  • Stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA).
  • Multiple sclerosis.
  • Migraine.

This condition may require prompt medical evaluation to determine the underlying cause and appropriate treatment.
