Dilated capillaries
Dilated capillaries, also known as telangiectasia, appear as small, widened blood vessels visible near the surface of the skin. They often present as fine red, blue, or purple lines, commonly found on the face, especially around the nose, cheeks, and chin. These visible capillaries can cluster, creating a web-like pattern. Conditions like rosacea, sun damage, and certain systemic diseases often cause capillary dilation. While usually harmless, they can cause cosmetic concerns and sometimes indicate underlying health issues.
