Decreasing height
Symptoms
Related diseases
Height decreases when individuals lose stature over time, typically due to compression or collapse of spinal vertebrae. Osteoporosis often causes this condition, but degenerative disc disease, spinal fractures, or scoliosis can also lead to it. This decrease in height may lead to a noticeable loss of inches and often comes with back pain and changes in posture.
