Bleeding from the oral mucosa refers to the occurrence of blood coming from the inner lining of the mouth. This can manifest as bleeding gums, blood in saliva, or noticeable bleeding from the inner cheeks, tongue, or roof of the mouth. Causes can range from trauma, infections, or inflammation to more serious conditions such as blood disorders or oral cancers. Associated symptoms may include redness, swelling, pain, or ulcerations in the oral cavity.
