Post-viral fatigue syndrome is a sudden or gradually onset fatigue without a previously healthy and athletic person. It is diagnosed based on the patient’s history ruling out other medical conditions that could cause fatigue. Initially, symptoms are treated and the person’s functionality is improved. This is aided by light exercise, cognitive behavioral therapy. Medications are used for concurrent conditions such as depression.
