Generalized anxiety disorder
Generalized anxiety disorder lasts more than 6 months, involving daily excessive anxiety that is disproportionate to the risk and interferes with daily activities. This disorder includes symptoms such as an inability to sit still, nervousness, rapid onset of fatigue, worsened concentration, muscle tension, and sleep disturbances. Patients sometimes complain of increased sweating, dizziness, palpitations, and discomfort in the epigastrium. These individuals usually worry about themselves or their loved ones getting into an accident or becoming ill.
