Ulcers in the oral mucosa

Ulcers in the oral mucosa. These are painful sores or lesions that develop on the soft tissues inside the mouth, including the inner cheeks, lips, tongue, and floor or roof of the mouth. These ulcers often appear white or yellow with a red border. They can cause significant discomfort, making eating, drinking, and speaking difficult. Common conditions associated with oral ulcers include aphthous stomatitis, viral infections, and certain systemic diseases. Factors such as injury, stress, nutrient deficiencies, and autoimmune responses often contribute to their development.
