Menstrual cycle disorders include the following: rare periods (oligomenorrhea), short periods (hypomenorrhea), frequent periods (more often than every 21 days, polymenorrhea), very long periods (lasting longer than 7 days, hypermenorrhea), painful periods (dysmenorrhea), bleeding between periods (metrorrhagia), absence of periods (amenorrhea).
